All silicone tips and forceps attachments are removable and washable. Simply detach the tip from the handle, rinse with warm water and mild soap, and allow to air dry completely before reattaching. The handle itself should be wiped down with a lightly damp cloth — do not submerge the handle in water as it contains the camera and electronics. The tips are durable and reusable many times over

For mild-to-moderate hardened wax, the ear forceps attachment is specifically designed to grip and gently remove firm pieces.
